Odeath where is your sting

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life.

And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.

And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,. As it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me.

Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—. He foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.

And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. Hades, where is your victory? Hosea I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from Death.

O grave, where is your victory? O death. Revelation ,14 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works… is thy victory.

The only sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. Jesus Christ defeated death! We are heavenly citizens; Jesus will transform our bodies to be like Him, immortal and perfect. Our inheritance in heaven is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading.

The world will not accept us, just as it did not accept Jesus. But glory be to God, in heaven there will be no more mourning, nor crying, nor pain; God will wipe every tear from our eyes, and death shall be no more. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is nothing to fear in this world, even death. Our lives are to be lived for God. It is only God who gives meaning to life; a life without God is vanity. Hell is real, and those who reject God will end up there; they will be forever in torment and will never know rest. But blessed are those who die in the Lord, they rest from their labor but their deeds follow them. The good we do in Christ is not in vain, there is a reward awaiting us in heaven.

Therefore, we do not live to please man, we live for God , He is our rewarder. We do good and we love as God tells us. We do not love in order to be loved back or to get a favor or to receive something in return; we love others because we love God.
