What does priority mean in yugioh
Sometimes, it can make a big difference WHO places their fast effect on the Chain first. However, during a Chain, the chance to go next passes back and forth between players.
Chain rules: see pages of the v8. Each Phase and Step starts with the turn player in box A of the chart listed below. They can also choose to activate a fast effect, if they wish. Whenever either player performs an action, the game state is no longer open.
To explain this in order I will use a chart. I have, however, made some updates based off of other rulings given by himself and others from the UDE OP Forums as well as made some things a little easier to understand. If it is the beginning of a duel and you are the first to play, you may not enter this phase.
If you do not to enter Battle Phase, you proceed to the End Phase. You may enter this phase even if you don't have any monster on your side of field. If you are not conducting battle then proceed to the End Step immediately. If you are conducting battle then proceed to Sub-step 3.
Select and announce 1 monster to attack with and declare 1 of your opponent's monsters your target the monster you wish to attack. Cards like Mirror Force and Sakuretsu Armor can no longer be activated, however you do not proceed directly to the damage step unless both players are ready and agree to do so.
This can happen as many times as necessary until priority is passed by both players, agreeing to move on to damage calculation. However, Continuous Effect that involves destroying monster s will not resolve until Sub-step 5. Trigger Effect that activates during Damage Step activates and resolves now. Example: "Reflect Bounder". Damage to a player's Life Points activate, form a chain, and resolve now. From this point forward, monsters are considered "destroyed".
So monsters destroyed by "Dark Ruler Ha Des" cannot activate their effects, destroyed monsters are not eligible for selection by card effects such as "Hane Hane", etc.
Activate card effects that do not activate when a monster is sent to the Graveyard and resolve them now. Examples are all Flip Effects, "D. These effects form a chain and then resolve. Activate effects that activate "at the end of the Battle Phase". Hopefully, now you understand something you didn't before. There will be some who already knew a majority or even all of this, but that number is far fewer than the number of those who will claim it. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask away.
I also tried to convince him to call it "Updates to the March 1st TCG ban list", but that didn't fly either :[. Good job with this, Blake. I saw something similar to this a long time ago and it was amazing, it really helped me out. So good shit, nicely put. Blake is awesome obv. You need to print this out in 36pt font and carry it around on a stone Tablet Regs this wk end.
