There are those two small inconveniences, but at the end of the day this is still the best Matte finisher I have tried. I used it with a Red Carpet gel color and so far no chips. It was easy to apply and has a fun matte finish. I used it to create a tone on tone French manicure.

Love the effect. I love essie and am extremely disappointed. I've used this product for a long time but every time I get halfway down the bottle, it just stops working! My thumb is now half matte, half glossy and the rest of my nails are glossy and completely dry! Probably won't be buying this top coat again - when it works its super good, but beware once you're halfway through it, you'll have to buy another one.

It can't get any matter than this. If extreme mat is what you are looking for, look no further. Way more matting than what I wanted or expected, but that's another story. Super matte for the first day but then I noticed it got a little less but still really nice. Also drys pretty fast which was my problem with other matte top coats. I bought this to use as a top coat over my already matte nails, it doesn't go on clear, it left like a yellowish film, and it didn't stay, within a day the top coat was cracking and falling off and warped the sticker decorations that were on my nails.

I would not recommend it. I bought this for a wedding and painted my nails the night before, I took extra care when painting them to make sure they were perfect.

They were chipping by the next morning! I had to repaint my nails before the wedding they chipped so bad. I've tried it a few more times on different polish, but still saw the same results.. I bought this, and I am really happy I did. This gives an amazing matte effect, and it looks stunning. Although it doesn't bother me, it does change the colour slightly. This is really a great top coat to have I use only Essie nail polish, so I wanted an Essie top coat since it'll work best with the nail polish.

I tried it and it does make my nails indeed matte. I bought this item because I wanted a matte top coat. My fingernails were good for about two days, then started to chip, but that is typical for me. It has lasted longer on my toes! This product is easy to use and leaves a beautiful matte finish to any nail polish.

I put a fast drying top coat down on my polish color first and then add this matte on top and it's perfect!!! I wish I could post pictures! I got this today and it looks lovely on!

It gives a smooth finish and can make a rough manicure look professional. Super soft and gorgeous finish. I am relatively new to doing my own nails and this helps a lot. I wasnt expecting to much from this but i was hoping for a decent matte finish. It wasnt to bad, it only lasted a couple days.
