Tough call. There are parts of Michigan I absolutely love but I also loathe the U. I would have said MI up until I lived in the U. I'd be happy. Now I'm quite happy in WI. I'd have to say Ohio for me.
I lived in Columbus once and liked it. Lake Erie. The people are wonderful. Some other good states in the region, but I'd have to say Ohio is my favorite. Michigan by far for me. It's the beautiful Midwestern state IMO, with beaches galore and just such a nice place. Wisconsin runs a close second. I am surprised Illinois is getting so many votes.
